Our 2D CAD drafting process

Step 1: Capturing the Data
Multivista scanning pros can come to your site and perform 3D Laser Scanning with our powerful Leica Geosystems scanners.
To learn more about the benefits of 3D laser scanning, check out our Guide to 3D Laser Scanning Technology.

Step 2: We analyze and process your data based on your unique needs.
Multivista will use point cloud data to create PDF and/or AutoCAD (DWG) plans. Choose from our Schematic packages or Architectural packages based on your project needs.

Step 3: Leverage your CAD drawings to make informed decisions and complete projects faster.
Save time, reduce errors, improve collaboration, and maximize efficiency with precise field intelligence — based on real-world data — that you can take anywhere.
Our Scan to Plan packages
Schematic Scan to Plan
Raster (image) schematic plans created from sectioned views of the point cloud.
This is a low-cost way to visualize the layout of a space, and an ideal option for projects that don’t require scaled CAD plans.
Includes…
- Floor plans
- Roof plans
- Ceiling plans
- Exterior elevations
- Building sections
- Site layouts
Architectural Scan to Plan
2D AutoCAD AIA-compliant architectural drawings, to scale and accurate to ¼” to ⅝” (USIBD LOA30).
Great for space planning, rentable area calculations, renovation planning, and facilities management scenarios.
Includes…
- Floor plans
- Roof plans
- Ceiling plans
- Exterior elevations
- Building sections
- Site layouts

Use Case
New construction, renovation, and retrofit construction
- Leverage highly accurate data throughout the planning, design and construction stages
- Check construction progress against the design
- Validate construction, quality assurance, work complete, constructability, and as-built drawings
- Get a point cloud for your project’s final deliverable

Use Case
Facility management
- Get plans for use in facilities management software (e.g. AerieHub)
- Use actionable data to plan for evacuation/emergencies, security, space usage, lighting, renovations, operations, maintenance, and more
